Hansgrohe ideas competition: “Water in the Net“

Water and big data: flowing together

Hansgrohe SE launches an international ideas competition: “Water in the Net“

Although 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered with water, only 2.5 percent of it is fresh water. At Hansgrohe SE, everything has revolved around this precious natural resource since the company was founded 115 years ago. The products developed by the global mixer and shower manufacturer make water come alive and at the same time allow us to use this valuable resource in a sustainable way. As a champion of water, Hansgrohe SE always takes the lead when it comes to the use of water. With its international “Water in the Net” ideas competition, the sanitation specialist is now promoting innovative approaches and ways of thinking that link the digital world with water use and sustainability in the real world.

“Water is our passion,” reaffirms Thorsten Klapproth, Chairman of the Executive Board at Hansgrohe SE. “We have always been dedicated to the element of water and its many different aspects do not cease to fascinate us. ‘Water in the Net’ is our first international ideas competition. It aims to encourage and promote solutions in this networked world – solutions that bring together digital technologies and big data with our primary focus: water.”
