German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche publishes brand study “1. Wahl 2016”
In the study “1. Wahl 2016 – Beste Marken im Handel” (1. Choice 2016 – Best Brands in the Retail Trade) the Hansgrohe Group with its AXOR and hansgrohe brands earned first place in the Building Equipment category with a clear lead over the 20 other brands included in that category. Commissioned by WirtschaftsWoche magazine, a German business magazine, a total of 950 brands from 20 retail trade sectors were rated online. The study was not based on a conventional survey; instead, 4.7 million comments in social media such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as ratings in forums and blogs were evaluated. Comments posted from August 2015 to July 2016 were analysed in respect to their tonality. Statements made regarding the pricing and quality of the brands studied were then evaluated.
Fantastic ratings and highest marks
“We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high rating of 99.7 out of 100 possible points,” says Christian Steinberg, Managing Director of Hansgrohe Deutschland Vertriebs GmbH. “Our top ranking in this online study shows us that we are on the right track and offer our customers the right products in terms of price and quality. Of course we will continue to do our best to build our favourable image among consumers,” adds Steinberg. For the study, the total score was calculated using a scale of 0 to 100 points awarded for three sector-specific elements: overall assessment (max. 20 points), price (max. 40 points) and quality (max. 40 points). The internationally active mixer and shower manufacturer based in Schiltach/Baden-Württemberg achieved a ten-point lead over the runner-up in the Building Equipment category.
