A New App, a Contest and TV Spots for Cycling Fans

hansgrohe expands its Tour de France “Showering Like a World Champion” campaign

In time for the start of the world’s biggest professional cycling event, the hansgrohe brand, title sponsor of the World Tour cycling team, is expanding its “Shower Like a World Champion” campaign by launching an official BORA – hansgrohe app, a contest, and an integrated TV, online and social media campaign. As of 1 July 2017, German- and English-speaking cycling fans can download the free BORA – hansgrohe German Professional Cycling app from the App Store for iOS or from Google Play for Android. 360-degree images will provide exclusive behind-the-scene glimpses and a professional racing centre with a news ticker will keep cycling enthusiasts, no matter where they are, up to date with push messages on stage results, news about the team and its cyclists. Fans whose expert knowledge keeps them ahead, stand to win interesting prizes from hansgrohe every day during the Tour de France. Real fans can purchase their gear in the integrated fan shop. In addition, cycling amateurs will receive valuable tips on the best way to relax in the shower following strenuous sporting activities as well as recipes from the professional athletes. Philippe Harinck, Sponsorship Project Manager of the Hansgrohe Group, explains, “We developed the app together with our sponsorship partner BORA to offer fans of our joint cycling team a rare opportunity to experience the team’s cyclists up close. This digital solution allows us to create a bond with the team while at the same time making hansgrohe the cycling fans’ favourite brand.”
