Hansgrohe Celebrates 125 Years with a Festival and a New Exhibition

Anniversary Events in Schiltach for Employees, Partners, and Customers

Schiltach, June 2026. With an evening gala for partners and customers and a large employee festival, the Hansgrohe Group celebrated its 125th anniversary at its headquarters in Schiltach on June 12 and 13. Around 350 invited guests from the industry and more than 5,000 employees and their families, experienced a weekend that impressively combined company history, innovative spirit, and a sense of community.

A journey through 125 years of company history

A highlight of the anniversary celebration for customers, suppliers, and other business partners was the opening of the new permanent exhibition on the company’s history, “Hansgrohe. Setting the Beat of Water. Since 1901.” at the modernized Aquademie, the visitor center in Schiltach. Artistic installations and emotionally engaging imagery bring key milestones and innovations from the bathroom specialist to life as a multimedia journey through time. The exhibition is now open to visitors. In his keynote speech, CEO Hans Jürgen Kalmbach emphasized the company’s responsibility in challenging times: “125 years are a reason to celebrate—but also to give thanks. Our heritage is our mandate for the future: to preserve what is good, to change what is necessary, and to do what is right—together with our partners.”

Thousands of employees celebrate as one big family

On June 13, the company grounds were transformed into a festival site. More than 5,000 employees and their families enjoyed a diverse program featuring interactive activities, culinary offerings from local associations, and insights into the new exhibition. Musical highlights were provided by Stereolines, Zweierpasch, The Voice of Germany winner Malou Lovis, and the German band Revolverheld.

Street renamed in honor of Klaus Grohe

A particularly moving moment was the announcement by Schiltach’s mayor, Thomas Haas: Auestraße, home to the company’s headquarters, will be renamed Klaus-Grohe-Straße. In doing so, the town honors the legacy of the honorary citizen, who passed away in January and was the youngest son of the company’s founder.

125 years – a powerful legacy

Klaus Grohe’s understanding of progress—rooted in values and a sense of community—continues to shape the company to this day. CEO Hans Jürgen Kalmbach also picked up on this theme in his address to employees: “125 years—that’s a remarkable legacy. We will shape the next chapter together: with joy, team spirit, and the ambition to get a little better every day. Let’s continue along the Hansgrohe path with the same passion and unconventional spirit as the generations before us—with dedication, courage, and responsibility.”
