hansgrohe sink combination units feature a complementary blend of design and function
Schiltach/Löhne, September 2018. The hansgrohe brand is presenting its complete kitchen solutions at area30. The high-quality sink and faucet combination units feature a complementary blend of design and function and fulfill customers’ high standards in terms of quality and aesthetics, durability, and ease of use. These hansgrohe sink combination units feature an intuitive operating system and were developed in collaboration with the renowned Phoenix Design studio in Stuttgart.
Convenient Functions in the Kitchen
hansgrohe took a holistic approach to developing a combination of kitchen sink and faucet, merging the two components into a single unit. The result is an innovative operating concept. The water control unit has been separated from the faucet and placed at the front edge of the sink, making it intuitive and much easier to use. The main water control unit of the model fitted with the hansgrohe 2-hole Select 200 M7119-H200 faucet is the lever handle on the front, righthand corner of the sink rim. The ergonomic lever handle can be switched or turned to select the precise water temperature and flow rate. Once these have been selected, the faucet can be easily turned on or off, using the Select button on the high spout.
A second model is a sink with integrated Select technology. A large and elegant button on the right-hand rim of the sink turns water flow from the two-spray kitchen faucet on and off. The same button also cleverly opens and closes the drain, eliminating the need for any additional elements in the sink, thus ensuring a clean and uncluttered design.
Both models allow you to turn the water on or off with the back of your hand or your elbow – a helpful feature when you’re holding a pot in both hands or your fingers are dirty. Because the Select technology is purely mechanical, no additional devices or electricity are required in the base cabinet.
The hansgrohe sBox – a Smart Component
Used in conjunction with sink combination units, the hansgrohe sBox maintains order and reliable functioning in the base cabinet. It stows the hose of the pull-out spray in a flat housing designed for standard base cabinets and offers protection from impact with drawers and waste systems. The hose integrated into the hansgrohe sBox also extends much farther than conventional pull-out models, increasing the operating radius at the sink by up to 26 centimeters. As a result, pots can be filled outside the sink for greater convenience. Adjustable attachment elements provide more options for installing the hansgrohe sBox in the base cabinet.
