Inaugurated for 30th Anniversary: the ‘AXOR Center for Excellence’ at German Headquarter Site

Hansgrohe Inaugurates High-End Manufacturing Site in Schiltach

Schiltach, May 2023. The manufacturing site at the Hansgrohe Group headquarters in Schiltach in the Black Forest, 'AXOR Center for Excellence', has been modernized over the past year, and on the occasion of the design brand’s 30th anniversary, introduced to an international group of journalists. In total, Hansgrohe SE has invested 12 million Euros in the production facility of its design brand from 2020 to 2022. The company is thus continuing its path of growth.

The bathroom and kitchen specialist from the Black Forest relies on a high level of in-house manufacturing for its products. More than 90 percent of AXOR products are manufactured in Germany and completed here for worldwide shipment. "The 'AXOR Center for Excellence' is our competence center for the production of high-end faucets, as global demand is increasing," explains Frank Semling, Chief Operating Officer Hansgrohe SE.

"With our design brand AXOR, we have been successfully serving affluent and design-oriented builders in search of uniqueness in the bathroom and kitchen since 1993," adds Olivier Sogno, Business Unit Head AXOR. "We will meet the increasing demand for personalized solutions and colors with the added capacities – among other improvements, with significantly reduced delivery times of our PVD range. With this investment we are increasing our proximity to the customer," Sogno continues.

The new ‘AXOR Center for Excellence’ will be completed right in time for the brand’s 30th anniversary in the summer 2023. "With the ‘AXOR Center for Excellence’ we are aligning our design brand for the future, and at the same time, we are strengthening all national and international locations," says Florian Roth, Head of Production Center. The Hansgrohe Group also currently produces faucets in Shanghai (China). The Offenburg site specializes in plastic products such as showerheads. Cartridges and thermostats are also manufactured there. In 2018, 30 million Euros were invested here in a new plastics electroplating site. The company has further production facilities in Willstätt, Bad Bentheim (Germany), Wasselonne (France), Valjevo (Serbia) and Atlanta (USA).

A total of 5,369 people work for Hansgrohe worldwide (as of Dec. 31, 2022), including more than 3,000 at the Schiltach and Offenburg/Willstätt sites. The company generated sales of 1.528 billion Euros in 2022.
